Lucy Hutton has always been certain that the nice girl can get the corner office. She’s charming and accommodating and prides herself on being loved by everyone at Bexley & Gamin. Everyone except for coldly efficient, impeccably attired, physically intimidating Joshua Templeman. And the feeling is mutual.

I’ve been picking up more cutesy romance books lately to balance out my reading, and because I wanted something lighthearted and fun every once and a while, and this book delivered. I saw the trailer for the movie with Lucy Hale and thought this might make for a fun book, and I do love a good enemy-to-lovers trope. In this case the trope was well executed and the story was super cute. I found myself smiling, laughing, and cringing in places. It was a fast and easy read and very entertaining. Sure, it was cliché, but it was a cute chick-lit book and I loved it.

The banter between Lucy and Josh was fun and done well, and the sexual tension between the two was great. I loved the games they played with each other and how they got under each other’s skins. If you like chick-lit and cute enemy-to-lovers stories, I’d recommend it.
