It’s Thriller Thursday! Today I’m reviewing a young-adult thriller that I had seen around for a while. I saw that it was available to borrow in audiobook format at the library, so I thought why not? The audiobook version was narrated by four different narrators to correspond to the four different perspectives, which I liked.

For a YA thriller, this was a fun read. The writing could be a bit juvenile at times, but this is a YA book centered around basic high school students so I found that okay. I thought the mystery and twists and turns were well executed and I did not predict where the story ended up. A few times I thought I had it figured out, but I was wrong. The conclusion was fairly dark and pretty sad, but was done well. I found I was addicted and flew through it pretty quickly.
This is one of those books where the various narratives from the different characters works, and I liked getting to know the inner thoughts of the four main characters. It made me care more about them. I also thought the main romance, even though incredibly trope-y, was really cute. I liked Addy’s character arc and her learning to come into her own.
I can understand some of the poor reviews, but personally I thought it was a fun YA read and look forward to more of the series.
Has anyone watched the show on Peacock? I started to watch half of the first episode, but am unsure whether I want to continue or not.
